All About Lubes |
| Water-based is the most popular, because it is easy to clean, can be used with any toy, and is available in regular and flavored. It is also available in many different levels of quality, so try them out by placing a drop in the palm of your hand and rubbing it with your finger for a while, like for around 30 seconds to 60 seconds or longer, until you can tell the water is evaporating a bit. Then, change from rubbing to sort of a tapping motion, to see how sticky the lube is. |
| Silicone based lubes really do contain silicone so they last & last & last with out re-applying, even in water! Because of this, it is harder to clean up afterwards. There are many different grades of silicone, so beware of the less expensive versions, as they may not give the super smooth feeling you are looking for. I like the ID Velvet, it is reasonable priced, has a soft texture, and is long lasting. |
